Looks like Trading212 has quietly announced that they are going to add an FX conversion fee (0.15%) to their investment accounts next month (April) 😬 What does this mean for you (if you have an investment/ISA account with them)?👇
-
Most customers will have an account in GBP, so trades made in any other currency would have this fee applied to them Buying and selling UK stocks are still fee-free 🇬🇧 Freetrade operates in the same way but its FX fee is 0.45% Both are still better than paying £9.99 per trade

If you get paid a dividend from a foreign currency stock and reinvested it then you would be hit by this fee twice instead of just once 💸

This was only mentioned on their community forums - A lot of customers will not see this (maybe all customers will be informed via the app/website or email later) Overall, it's still one of the cheapest ways to invest community.trading212.com/t/introduction-of-fx-conversion-fee/46787
