    @financepapi__ Funny enough this is exactly why proper seasoning/spices isn't used as much across the UK Before spices were seen as a luxury for the upper class Once it became cheaper & more common among lower classes the upper class abandoned it as it wasn't as 'exclusive' anymore

      @financepapi__ The upper class then switched to having food 'as is' (I don't know the proper term for it) and then the middle class and so on followed that trend as well
