                    First up, the website 'thefilmcoin dot io' domain was only registered on 23rd November 2021 with GoDaddy Now that itself doesn't make this a scam but it's a really questionable choice of domain providers to use for a 'large decentralised' project 🤔

                  On their website, it seems that 'Darkhorse Films' is making this crypto project I actually did a quick search on Companies House and found that there was a new entry for Darkhorse Films incorporated around the same time the website was put up

                Did some further digging into the directors of Darkhorse Films - The first is Terence John PETTIT A quick search provides little to no information about this individual but I did find that they were the director of 47 active & dissolved companies 🚩 find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/q4vlt7Ws4HKrysRXjelj0NRUdL4/appointments

              The address listed in the Companies House listing is actually for a WeWork like space by a company called 'Our Space' so this isn't even a permanent address for this company

            Also, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are going to get 'Darkhorse Films' confused with 'Dark Horse Entertainment' the production arm of Dark House Comics who are not involved in this at all!

          Looking at the team page it looks like the managing director is David Van Herwaarde A quick Google search shows that there is nothing on a person called David Van Herwaarde apart from a Linkedin profile which can be easily faked

        Turns out this isn't the first crypto scam this company have tried to run! They made a similar coin called 'BaitCoin' with the BAIT LONDON HQ LIMITED, a company supposedly from the largest social media Influencer "imjustbait" Here's what happened to that coin since launch 📉

      Let's look at the whitepaper now...I'll save you some time - Don't It's not a whitepaper, it's pages of marketing buzz words with no technical explanation as to how the new token/project works It's all to generate hype to get people to buy this token

    Here's one screengrab from their 'litepaper' Their vision is for everyone to have a digital wallet that allows for borderless & permissionless financial transactions? What has that got to do with anything with films, TV, music, etc? This is straight-up copied and pasted

      🚩 Overall, everything about this screams scam to me ⚠️ I've only spent one evening looking over it but I would suggest not going anywhere near this due to a number of reasons ❗ If you do end up buying this token then there is a high chance you'll lose your money
